Khimik wasn't distracted by the Rock beer they got as a souvenir at the beginning of the game. The straight took a 11-4 lead. Rock got their breathing straight after a few minutes and ended the quarter 20-18 for their benefit. Tarmo Kikerpill and Augenijus Vaskys did a great job.
The second quarter was quite similar to the first. Khimik took early lead thanks to their secret weapon Vladan Zivkovic, who came from the bench, but the Ukranians found themselves behind at the half (40-33).
Rock's Tarmo Kikerpill led the home team to increase their advantage 59-45 during the third quarter. But it melted down to 61-52 at the end.
The fourth quarter was the quarter for Martin Viiask from Rock and most of all Olexander Pashchenko, who shot three similar three pointers in a row. But again the visitors turned the game and found themselves in the leading position.
Rock reacted and tied the game with seconds to go at 75-75. Both teams nedded an extra time.
Overtime started quite happily for Rock as they jumped ahead 81-75. The guests called for a time-out and it work well.
Even more - Augenijus Vaskys made an emotional offensive foul on khimik`s full-court pressure. It was his fifth and the Ukranians were back in the game (84-84).
With 20 seconds to play bench player Vladan Zivkovic connected for another three pointer and the match was done. Groupleaders Khimik captured an 84-89 overtime thriller.
