Patrick Koller, Headcoach, Olympic Benetton Fribourg:
“We knew from the beginning that it would become a hard game against the MBC. Weißenfels plays in the German Division better week by week. When we play in the Europe Cup we face the problem that our players are too small. Comparing the rebounds shows our problem. Our bench was a bit short while the MBC could use ten players.”
Eric Poole, Fribourg:
"It was a good feeling to come back to Germany and to play against the grown “Wolves”. Weißenfels had a taller team. That made quite a difference."
Henrik Dettmann, Headcoach, Weißenfels:
“We knew that Fribourg put its confidence in the three key players Fergerson, Rosnovskiy and Poole. At the beginning we seemed to play like tired soccer players, so this was a good opportunity to bring new power to the game by the young players from the bench. Today we have seen that we have two strong players for every position.
Marius Petravicius, Weißenfels:
"We played well together as a team and we deserved the victory.”
