Serbia sustained their push for promotion with a 73-60 win over Finland at the U16 European Championship Women Division B in Matosinhos, Portugal on Thursday.
Snezana Bogicevic's game-high 19 points helped ensure the Serbs topped Group E and set up a semi-final meeting with Denmark, who secured second spot in Group F after a 70-49 success over Israel.
Portugal face Finland in the other semi-final after the Portuguese stayed perfect in Group F by virtue of a 87-57 win over Poland on day eight - Maria Kostourkova and Chelsea Guimaraes combining for 48 points.
England's Shanice Norton nailed a lay-up at the buzzer to beat Belarus 64-63 and her team will face Israel in their first classification game as they battle for fifth place while Poland will play Belarus in the same part of the competition.
Ukraine led from start to finish as they eased past Ireland 76-46 behind a 14-point, 13-rebound double double from Olga Yatskovets.
This confirmed the Ukrainians will compete for ninth place with Luxembourg, who beat Estonia 62-43 on day eight and Slovenia, whose place in this contest was already secured.
Romania, Switzerland and Germany will go on to play for 12th to 14th position after Germany smashed Norway 73-23 thanks in no small part to Leonie Schütter's 23 points and 10 steals.
The bottom rung of the competition will contain Ireland, Estonia and Norway, who will attempt to avoid the wooden spoon after each failed to record a win in the second phase.
