Bulgaria head coach Tsanko Tsankov and his assistant, Ventislav Gechev, are looking over a list of 22 players that have a chance to represent the country at the U16 European Championship Women Division B.

The event will be staged in Tallinn, Estonia, from 12-22 July, and Bulgaria will square off against Poland, Luxembourg and Romania in Group C.

Iva Georgieva, Maria Kamburova, Elitsa Zhelyazkova and Tanya Eneva featured in last year's U16 European Championship Women in Romania and are among those being considered for this year's squad.

Fourteen to 15 girls are expected to be invited to the training camp.

Tsankov is a frustrated coach.

"Our time for preparation is very little," he said.

"In (some) other countries, championships have been done in April and they have begun to prepare for the European Championship.

"Our championship for girls ends 10 June and then our time will be limited."

Tsankov is expected to gather with his players on 12 June in Sofia and they will stay in the Bulgarian capital until 20 June.

Next will be a trip to Turkey for a tournament with the Netherlands, Hungary and the Turks.

Bulgaria will resume their training in Varna and then return to Sofia for their final camp that runs from 6-10 July.
