From the early going Poland managed to keep a slight advantage over Turkey. After leading 19-16 after ten minutes of play, Poland could increase the margin up to 34-28 at halftime.

Turkey managed to reduce the deficit and finally tied the game at 34-34 in the third quarter. The momentum in the game changed again as Poland went on a 12-1 run which helped them to grab a solid 50-39 lead.
