In the final set of classification games at the U16 European Championship Women Spain clinched the fifth spot, while the Netherlands won the game for the seventh rank.

Spain secured the fifth place in a real defensive battle with Turkey. At halftime they were down 15-24, but Spain rallied in the second half and turned around the game. Finally they edged Turkey 45-39. Irene Gari had a game high 19 points.

The Netherlands were able to clinch the 7th spot. They defeated Belgium 65-56 and ended their successful first showing at the Division A on a good note. Kourtney Treffers had yet another double double (12 points, 10 rebounds) in a game with high shooting percentages on both sides.

In the Classification Round for 13th to 16th places Lithuania posted their first win of the tournament against Italy (62-58). Belarus defeated Poland (55-50) but it wasn't sufficient to avoid relegation.
