PLAYER HISTORY
Silvia Domínguez

Career: UB FC Barcelona (Spain-LF, 2002-04), USP-CEU Adecco Estudiantes (Spain-LF, 2004-06), Perfumerías Avenida (Spain-LF, 2006-09).

2007 and 2008 have been key years for Silvia Domínguez. When Cristina Ciocan left Perfumerias Avenida for personal reasons in December, Silvia's role became even more important. Far from feeling under pressure, she took the lead and guided Avenida to the EuroLeague Women, where they lost to powerful Spartak in the semi-final. Since she was a little kid, Silvia has known she wanted to be a top player. Intelligent, determined and powerful, Domínguez was always more mature than players she faced in international youth competitions. Her game suits Spain's fast-breaks and offers a perfect contrast to Elisa Aguilar.
