Greece defeated Slovenia 51-31 to clinch first place in Group E and set up a semi-final against Romania at the U16 European Championship Division B Women in Bulgaria. Zafeira Giampani had 10 points and three steals for the Greeks, who improved to 3-0 in Group E while the Slovenians fell to 2-1. Romania finished second in Group F to Finland after beating the Netherlands 54-43. Laura Saarinen and Anette Juvonen each scored 11 points for the Finns as they edged Slovakia 48-47 to seal first place in Group F. Juvonen's three-pointer with 38 seconds finished off the scoring and sealed first. Finland will take on Slovenia in the other semi-final. |
