Maryia Filonchyk scored 30 points and grabbed 17 rebounds in leading Belarus to an 80-72 victory over Poland in Group E of the Termosteps U16 European Championship Women. Belarus never trailed but nearly blew a 21-point lead going into the fourth quarter before holding off Poland to move to 1-3 in the group. |

Underdogs Poland led 9-6 in the early stages, but the Czechs unleashed a 28-8 run spanning the first and second quarters and never looked back in moving to 3-0 in Group E. |

Despite knowing they were destined for the Classification Round, Lithuania put on a great fight in beating Serbia 70-67 in over-time in Group B of the Termosteps U16 European Championship Women. Radvile Autukaite scored five of her 15 points in the extra session and Diana Zintikaite hit for 17 total points as Lithuania captured their first victory of the event and handed the Serbs their first loss in Latvia. |
