Sweden Claim Title

With a dominating fourth quarter finish, Sweden took down Latvia 72-62 to win the Termosteps U16 European Championship Women Division B title in Finland.

Going into the fourth quarter trailing 58–50, Sweden outscored Latvia 22-4 in the last ten minutes of the game to cap off a remarkable comeback which enabled them to claim the gold medal.

Bronze For Romania

Romania concluded their U16 European Championship Women Division B campaign with a bronze medal.

The Romanians defeated Italy 72-63 to claim third place in the tournament.

Steinberga Earns MVP Award

Latvia's Aneta Steinberga was elected MVP of the Termosteps U16 European Championship Women Division B after Sunday's final.

Steinberga, a 185 cm center, was a dominant inside presence for Latvia throughout the tournament.
