The 21-year-old Shafir has transferred her skills, which she showcased with the National Team at various youth categories and across the pond in America where she has made a big splash in the NCAA with Toledo. She has enjoyed a great season at college and is showing why she has been rated so highly ever since she was little more than a child. She produced big numbers during her youth career, not only in terms of her scoring ability but also her all-around game including her willingness to rebound the ball and pick out open teammates. Her game continues to evolve at college and she is another young player who could be one of the players to take the senior National Team forward in the future. Also known for her religious commitments, she is a player who had to get special permission from her Rabbi to even wear shorts when she first started playing. |
