Bulleri Joins Virtus On Loan

Armani Jeans Milan have sent Italy national team point guard Massimo Bulleri on loan to Virtus Bologna for the rest of the season.

Bulleri, 30, will not be able to play until the new year, though, once he has recovered from ankle surgery.

"Virtus' move is an incredible proof of trust in me considering I am injured," Bulleri said.
"I can only be grateful to (owner) Claudio Sabatini's club.

"I hope that after June, I can remain at Virtus. I am extremely happy with the opportunity offered to me by Virtus.

"I hope I can return the trust as soon as possible."

Bulleri was one of the best players in Italy at Benetton Treviso but now in his third season at Armani Jeans, he struggled with injuries and form.

He did play well enough last season in Milan to earn a recall to the national team and played for the Azzurri at this summer's EuroBasket in Spain.
