|Chinemelu Elonu had five points and nine boards in a simple Tofas SC victory|
Tofas beat up Group A strugglers ETHA 87-54 as they warmed up for their decisive EuroChallenge showdown with KRKA Novo Mesto next week.
The two will go head-to-head for second spot in the group and a place in the last 16, and in this the penultimate round, Tofas laid down a marker with a dominant performance.
Austin Nichols scored 21 points to lead Tofas, with Joshua Heytvelt and Steven Burtt adding 15 each, whilst Can Altintig had 12.
They came tearing out of the blocks and an 8-0 run to close the first quarter put them 22-9 up.
ETHA rallied in the second quarter and courtesy of a 17-3 run snatched an unlikely lead, 26-25, on Pavel Englicky's free throws.
But Tofas soon restored order and they took a 34-31 lead into the break.
The third quarter then ended all resistance from ETHA as Tofas outscored them 31-12.
It began with back-to-back threes from Nichols and Heytvelt's dunk made it 50-33 just three minutes after the restart.
There would be no let up, either, with their biggest lead the winning margin - one that came on the back of a 14-2 charge to the finish in the final five minutes.
Donte Poole led ETHA with 17 points while Ogo Adegboye had 10.
