FIBA Europe have reached an agreement with the sportsman media group for the distribution of TV rights for the 2010 U20 and U18 European Championships for Men, organised in Croatia and Lithuania respectively.
The Munich-based media rights agency have a wealth of experience in handling rights of major sports events, including the German football Bundesliga and the Volleyball and Handball Champions League.
For the first time the television rights of FIBA Europe's top national team youth competitions are distributed proactively.
"We have seen an incredible growth of interest in our youth tournaments in recent years," commented FIBA Europe Secretary General Nar Zanolin. "We're happy to be teaming up with the sportsman media group, who we believe can help us to increase the exposure received by these great competitions."
"The U20 and U18 European Championships, featuring the top basketball stars of tomorrow should enjoy the international media coverage they deserve," said Thomas Krohne, CEO of the sportsman. "Together with FIBA Europe we will unfold that potential, lifting the coverage of the competitions to a higher level."
