FIBA Europe Secretary General On Working Visit In Minsk

Last week FIBA Europe Secretary General Nar Zanolin visited the Belorussian Basketball Federation in Minsk.

"I had the great opportunity to promote our wonderful sport among some of the most influential people in Belarus." He commented

Among others, senior officials of the Ministry of Sport and Tourism and the National Olympic Committee took part in the meetings that focused on an expansion of the cooperation between FIBA Europe and the Belorussian Basketball Federation.

"Basketball is growing in Belarus and a lot of people understand it there and help to further develop the game. I am very pleased with how the Basketball Federation of Belarus is making every effort to increase the level of professionalism." Said Nar Zanolin.

Another point on the agenda was the visit of the brand new arena in Minsk that could also serve as a venue for FIBA Europe competitions in the future.

"It is good to see that the possibilities of FIBA Europe in terms of staging events in different places increase with the construction of great arenas like the one in Minsk" the Secretary General explained.
