Alina Zamaraeva sparked the crucial game-winning run for Russia

Russia will play France for 5th place at the U20 European Championship Women after defeating Slovak Republic 61-55 in a classification games for 5th to 8th place encounter on Saturday.

Slovakia used an 11-3 run to go up 48-45, grabbing their first lead of the game early in the fourth quarter.

But Russia countered through Alina Zamaraeva who hit a triple to spark a 12-3 spurt during which she contributed nine points, allowing Russia pulled away with victory.

In a close game, Russia's 18-5 advantage in second-chance points made the difference.

Ksenia Tikhonenko led Russia with 16 points and nine rebounds, Galina Kiseleva collected 13 points and 12 rebounds, while Zamaraeva finished with 11 points.

Two players had double-doubles for Slovakia with Zofia Hruscakova collecting 14 points and 10 rebounds, while SabĂ­na Oroszova had 11 points and 10 rebounds.
