Having stepped out with her Portugal team-mates for an U20 European Championship Women Division A debut, Daniela Domingues also had to face another challenge in the form of a FIBAEurope.com Half-Court Press.
While the guard couldn't prevent her team from losing their historic first ever game at the elite level against one of the tournament favourites in France, she did come up with an impressive three steals.
Domingues is one of the players who will be central to Portugal trying to successfully avoid a drop straight back down to Division B and especially with two impressive seasons of EuroCup Women basketball behind her with AD Vagos.
FE.com: What's your first basketball memory?
Daniela Domingues: My sister played basketball when I was little. I watched her playing and wanted to be just like her!
If you were at the Olympics but not as a basketball player, which other sport do you think it would be fun to win a gold medal in?
What is your favourite movie and why?
Lá Vitta e Bella (Life Is Beautiful) - because it is a true story and when I watched it, I found the film deep.
If you could only listen to one song again for the rest of your life what would it be?
Spectrum by Florence and The Machine.
What is your most valuable personal item/possession?
My driving licence.
If you didn't play basketball and you could do any other job - what would it be?
A Marine Biologist or a 'Parachutist'!
What are the best three things about being from or living in Portugal?
The food, the beach and the culture.
Which movie actress would you want to play you in a movie about your life?
Who is the most sensible of your team-mates and who is the craziest and why?
The most sensible is Ines Pinto. She cries no matter what and the craziest is Paula Couto, because she acts so many times with complete nonsense!
Can you cook? If you were cooking a meal for your coach what would it be?
I can't cook. I would have to take him to a restaurant.
What's your best quality as a player and as a person and what is the worst?
As a player, the worst are my game options since they aren't always the best but I never give up. Meanwhile as a person, I am obstinate and fight for what I want. I am however stubborn!
What are your favourite other sports?
Swimming and horse riding.
What are the most important things for a basketball player to have?
To be hard working, have ambition and be willing to sacrifice.
There's only two seconds on the shot clock, do you pass or shoot?
It depends. If I am in a good shooting position, I would shoot. But, if a team-mate is in a better one, then I would pass.
