Turning Point: Quite simply, there was not one. Spain dominated from the tip-off, scoring the first eight points of the contest and subsequently stormed into a 27-8 first-quarter lead.

Game Heroes: Leticia Romero and Maria Arrojo both impressed. Romero contributed 15 points, six rebounds, three assists and two steals, whilst Arrojo accumulated 17 points, three rebounds and two steals.

Stats Don't Lie: Spain took almost the entire offence of the Netherlands away and held them to a paltry two assists. A small number, but a big factor against a team-orientated basketball side such as the Dutch who shot only 21.4%.

Spain will play France in the final of the U18 European Championship Women in Vukovar after they demolished the Netherlands 80-41 in another awesome and high-octane performance from tip to buzzer.

There was barely time for the Netherlands to even think about their game plan since it was torn to shreds within minutes, as Spain grabbed the initiative - something they never relinquished for the remainder of the contest.

It was a truly breathtaking start and it left their opponents standing on the start line. In fact, within nine minutes, they already had one foot firmly in the Final when two free-throws by Helena Orts made it 38-18.

Spain got even better as the game progressed and saved their very best slick basketball for the latter stages, when they found themselves 75-37 ahead.

The Netherlands simply had no answers as they lost to Spain for the second time in the tournament.

Janis Ndiba and Laura Cornelius both added nine points for the Dutch, who will now meet Serbia to fight it out for the bronze medal - as they did at the event last summer.
