Inja Butina led all scorers in Croatia's overwhelming victory, with 21 points
The line-up for the Quarter-Finals of the U18 European Championship Women is complete after Croatia took the last berth with a crushing and impressive 77-40 victory against Slovenia on Wednesday night.
The win not only ended the slim hopes of the Slovenians but also those of the Slovak Republic too, with both teams finishing outside of the top four positions in Group F.
Croatia dominated the game from tip to buzzer with a 26-3 third quarter summarising their utter superiority.
Slovenia either left out or barely played a number of their most influential players, including the likes of Eva Lisec and Nina Gabrovsek, which made it a one-sided contest that Croatia sailed through easily.
The bonus for Croatia head coach Zeljko Ciglar was being able to rest talented center Ivana Tikvic, although she will surely have to be back firing on all cylinders to have any opportunity of beating in-form France on Friday.
Inja Butina more than made up for the absence of her frontcourt partner with 21 points, while Antonia Chiabov and Adrijana Cvitokovic both grabbed ten rebounds each.
Croatia will now meet France, who won Group E, in the Quarter-Finals.
