Turkey finished top of Group B at the U18 European Championship Women with a comfortable 58-42 success against Greece who must now wait to see if they advance or join the fight to avoid relegation.
While current form suggests Romania isn't likely to attain the comprehensive win against Russia that they need in the final group game in order to make it to the Second Round, Greece won't be able to relax until that issue is resolved.
As for Turkey, they looked impressive once more and did a great job locking down the Greek offence during the first quarter.
They held their opponent to just four points in that frame and that was the required impetus needed to keep their noses in front and secure a third straight success.
At times, Turkey head coach Erkan Metin seemed a little frustrated with his teams's offence and while they generally failed to find their range from beyond the three-point line, they still had far too much for the Greeks, especially inside.
Gizem Sezer had a productive game for Turkey at center with nine points and eight rebounds.
