Sweden Defeat Montenegro For First Win


Sweden began the Classification Round for 13th to 16th Place with a 72-64 victory against Mongenegro, who are yet to register a single victory at the U20 European Championship.

Marcus Eriksson led the winners with 21 points, while Viktor Gaddefors added a double-double of 20 points and 10 rebounds, as Sweden came back from an early 15-point deficit in the second quarter.

Marko Mugosa scored 19 points, grabbed five rebounds and dished out five assists for Montenegro, but the team couldn't take advantage of outscoring Sweden in the post 42-20.

Sweden will play against Estonia on Tuesday, while Montenegro will aim to take the first victory against Georgia.
