|Ukraine's Olexandr Mishula led all scorers with 18 points and his team to their only victory in the Second Round|
Ukraine showed fighting spirit and got their first victory in the Second Round on Wednesday, 81-74 over Germany.
The result did not affect Group E standings as Ukraine and Germany were locked in sixth and second place, respectively.
Although the game did not mean much for either side, Ukraine came out hard and established an early advantage, which they kept throughout the whole game.
Having led by as many as 15 points, the eventual winners only allowed the Germans to close the gap momentarily to one point, 68-69, but never relinquished the lead.
Olexandr Mishula had a game-high 18 points and six rebounds for the victors, Sergiy Zagreba had 14 points, while Olexandr Misyats' finished the game with 12.
Philipp Neumann had 17 points and five rebounds and Johannes Voigtmann scored 14 points and grabbed six boards for Germany, who shot only 53.6 percent from the free-throw line.
Ukraine will be happy to have at least a token victory in the Second Round, while Germany still advance to the Quarter-Finals as the second seed of Group E, despite the loss.
