Turkey improved to 1-1 in Group C of the U20 European Championship with a 103-67 win against Georgia, after an impressive second half performance.

Georgia enjoyed two good quarters in the beginning of the game and headed into the locker rooms for the half-time break only with a three-point deficit.

However, Turkey started the third quarter with six unanswered points in the first 30 seconds as part of a 14-2 run, after which the Turkish side never looked back.

Berkay Canadan had an impressive game for Turkey with a double-double of 36 points and 10 rebounds, while team captain Safak Edge and 18-year-old center Ramazan Tekin chipped in with 12 points each.

Duda Sanadze had a team-high 25 points for Georgia, also adding five rebounds.

Irakli Alkhanaidze and Beka Burjanadze scored 12 points apiece for the losing side, who never managed to regain their energy after Turkey stunned them at the beggining of the second half.

On Saturday, Turkey will face Latvia in the final gameday of the preliminary round while Georgia will hope to sneak out a win against Spain, to keep their theoretical chances of advancing to the next round.
