Estonia Prove Stronger Than Georgia

Estonia claimed their first win at the U20 European Championship by defeating Georgia, 87-73, in their first game in the Classification Round for 13th to 16th Place.

Runno Nurger paced the Estonians with 17 points and nine rebounds, Jaan Puidet scored 14 points, while Martin Paasoja had a double-double of 13 points and 11 rebounds.

Beka Burjanadze was Georgia's top-scorer with 21 points and also added a team-high 11 rebounds, as the team could not contain Estonia's big men, allowing 17 second chance points and scoring only 7 themselves.

Estonia will play against Sweden in Stozice Arena on Tuesday and Georgia will take on Montenegro, as both teams will try to register a first victory in Slovenia.
