Ukraine snatched a crucial 72-69 victory against Estonia on day three of the U20 European Championship to finish third in Group B and claim the last ticket from that pool to the Second Round.
Although Ukraine led for most of the way and even had a 16-point lead in the third quarter, Estonia fought back and got within a single point, 66-67, with less than one minute left in the game.
However, Ukraine managed to hold on, with Pavlo Krutous converting an and-one play to make it a two-possession game with only 17 seconds left to the final buzzer.
Artem Pustovyi had an impressive double-double of 22 points and 17 rebounds, Olexandr Mishula finished the game with 13 points, while V'Yacheslav Bobrov chipped in with 12 points, seven rebounds and five assists.
Martin Paasoja had 18 points for the losing side and Rannar Raap contributed 16, but the Baltic side will now have to play in the classification games in Ljubljana.
