WHAT IS FIBA EUROPE UNIVERSITAS?

FIBA Europe Universitas is an international educational institution, governed by FIBA Europe. The project has a clear European vocation, with aims to research and develop basketball in both the competitive and educational perspectives of the whole person.

FIBA Europe Universitas is aimed at everyone and open for all different institutions (universities, academies, clubs, etc.) with a view to possible collaboration in different projects.

SOME OF THE SPECIFIC OBJECTIVES:
• Expand educational opportunities in basketball offering courses utilising different educational models (on-line, e-learning)

• Facilitate the formation of elite players, referees, volunteers and others involved with basketball

• Promote scientific research in basketball and facilitate the publication of scientific and outreach information related to basketball

• Integrate into society persons with a disability and the most disadvantaged people through basketball

• Introduce basketball in schools and into universities giving the opportunity to get involved in different ways
