For the second consecutive year, FIBA Europe will be honouring the best performers on the continent for Men, Young Men, Women and Young Women.

FIBA Europe President George Vassilakopoulos, Secretary General Nar Zanolin and Sports Director Kosta Iliev met today with Lithuanian Basketball Federation officials at FIBA Europe’s offices in Munich, Germany to primarily discuss organisational aspects of EuroBasket 2011.
The Lithuanian Basketball Federation was represented by President Vladas Garastas, Vice President Ramunas Saluga and Steering Committee Member Mindaugas Spokas.
Top players in the EuroLeague Women will be heading to Valencia, Spain for the EuroLeague Women All-Star Game on March 8, 2007.
It will mark the second EuroLeague Women All-Star Game and will feature the best players from Europe taking on the Rest of the World Team.
FIBA Europe will endorse Special Olympics Europe/Eurasia (SOEE) for the third consecutive year during the Special Olympics European Basketball Week to be held 25 November-3 December, 2006 across the region.
Special Olympics will organize activities during the week that will involve 12,000 children and adults and male and female players with intellectual disabilities in 30 countries.
The Board of FIBA Europe met in Gibraltar at the weekend for the second meeting in the 2006-2010 term of office.

FIBA Secretary General Patrick Baumann and FIBA Europe President George Vassilakopoulos met in Athens on 30th October 2006 to discuss the recent developments in basketball and the renewed efforts to improve the legal framework on sports within the European Union.
The EuroBasket 2007 Draw will take place on Thursday, October 19th, at 12:30 local time in Madrid, Spain at the Palacio Municipal de Congresos de Madrid.
The Draw will be broadcast live nationally on La Sexta and can also be followed in real-time on fibaeurope.com.

The site is specifically designed for coaches and offers an array of tools and services, including coaching news, a universal drills section, playbooks and a practice section, among other resources.
Top coaches from across Europe met in Munich, Germany for the first-ever FIBA Europe Elite Coaches Meeting on Monday.
Pepu Hernandez, who coached Spain to the FIBA World Championship title last month, was among the notable names in attendance.
