EuroCup All Star Game Returns To Cyprus

21.11.2006

For the third straight year, the best EuroCup players will be heading to Cyprus for the EuroCup All Star Game.

EKA AEL Lemesos will once again be organising the event in conjunction with FIBA Europe.

The format for the game will be the same as in the last two seasons with Europe taking on the Rest of the World.

The Rest of the World has prevailed the previous two years.

The starting five of each team will be selected by fans based on a fibaeurope.com poll which will be launched in December. The remaining players will be chosen by select coaches.

There will be other events surrounding the All Star Game.

“Based on the fantastic organisation the past two years, we are delighted to bring the EuroCup All Star Game back to Cyprus,” said FIBA Europe Secretary General Nar Zanolin.

“The All Star Game is a wonderful way to showcase the top players in our league and I am confident that EKA AEL Lemesos will once again organise a terrific event.”
