Dimitris Diamantidis – Greece and Panathinaikos

Arguably the best all-round player in Europe, Dimitris Diamantidis turned into a wizard in the late stages of the Euroleague season. He almost single-handedly stunned reigning champions FC Barcelona in the play-offs, scoring an average of 18 points, dishing out five assists a night and putting the shackles on one of the best scorers in the game, Juan Carlos Navarro. As his Panathinaikos team went to the Final Four, the guard ran the show in outstanding fashion, dishing out nine assists in both the semi-final and the final and was named the Final-Four MVP.
