Russian point guard Ksenia Levchenko has raised eyebrows in Miskolc with her intelligent play and great court vision. tried to stop Ksenia Levchenko, the leader in assists at the U16 European Championship Women, with a high pressure defence, but the Russian guard stood her ground brilliantly once more.

Averaging 7.3 points and 3.8 assists in the tournament, Levchenko is sparking Russian hopes to have a new Becky Hammon-like guard in the senior national team, soon in the future. What's your first basketball memory and why did you want to become a basketball player?
Ksenia Levchenko: I remember seeing my father play, when I was little, and I liked it very much. I wanted to be a player since then.

Winning a EuroBasket Women with the Russian national team would mean ...
It would be my greatest achievement in life! I really love this sport and I want to be a professional player. Winning titles with the senior national team is my dream.

How do you see yourself, in basketball, when you're 30 years old?
Playing in the WNBA. I'll work hard and do all my best to be a great player.

Being one of the shortest players in your team with 1.65 m, do you feel you have to work harder for your place?
No, I'm like Becky Hammon. She's small but one of the best players in Russia.

What are the ambitions of your team in the U16 European Championship Women?
We want to win the title. We'll play hard and show we deserve to win it, playing good basketball.

Which part of training do you like less?
I don't like to play defence ...

Who is the best European player you've ever seen?
Sergey Bykov, in the Russian national team.

Which of your teammates is most likely to win the MVP award in the EuroLeague Women first?
I think Daria Kolosovskaya.

I'll follow the coach's decision. What she tells me to do will be the best for our team, so I'll go with her decision.
