11. Regan Magarity (Sweden)
Sweden's Regan Magarity, who averaged 14.0 points and 9.6 rebounds at last year's U16 European Championship Women, is missing this summer due to injury.

Group A features last year's finalists Belgium, an ambitious Turkish squad as well as Sweden and hosts Hungary.

Belgium managed to reach two finals in the last three years and is now planning to reach the highest place on the podium. Point guard Julie Allemand had a great showing at last year's tournament and will be the main reference of the team. Allemand leads a group where Laeticia Mpoyi and Kyara Linskens are also able to make a difference.

Turkey arrives in Miskolc with big ambitions. Despite some unexpected defeats in the preparation, the Turkish attempt to claim their first medal in the U16 category. Bringing back four players from the team that finished fourth in 2011, the set also features some new talent, as is the case of point guard Serife Onar, who performed very well in friendly matches against Germany.

If Sweden had Regan Magarity in their squad, Group A could be considered one of the toughest of the tournament. Unfortunately, the leading Swedish player got injured during the season and is missing in Miskolc. The Swedish present a squad with a fully renovated set of players, with Anna Tivenius being a strong candidate to take over responsibility.

Playing at home, Hungary have their main reference in center Agnes Dobos. The excellent results in a warm-up tournament in Istanbul reinforced the confidence of a team that tries to take their country back to the top. The first match versus Sweden can be decisive to the ambitions of both teams.
