U16 WOMEN

Hungary and their fans celebrate their opening victory over Sweden
According to Agnes Dobos, the support of the home crowd was one of the main reasons the Hungarian side eased to a 74-46 win in their opener against Sweden.

FIBAEurope.com submitted Hungarian center Agnes Dobos to its relentless Half-Court Press after her team's impressive opening victory over Sweden in the U16 European Championship Women. Never before basketball was so much about ... family!

FE.com: What's your first basketball memory?
Agnes Dobos: Seeing my father play when I was just four years old.

Why do you want to become a basketball player?
My father and mother were players, my older brother too, so I think it was meant to be this way. And I have a younger brother who is already playing ...

Who is a better player, you or your brother Laszlo, who was a member of Hungary's U18 team last summer?
My brother!

And who will be the first one to get a title with the Hungarian national team?
He will. He's taller and plays in Spain (for CAI Zaragoza), so I think he will be able to get Hungary a title.

Playing on the senior national team in an EuroBasket Women means ...
A big honour. I'd be very happy to be there.

There's only two seconds left on the shot-clock, you pass or shoot?
It depends on so many things ... but I'll shoot!

Which part of training you like less?
Running.

Who is the most mature of your teammates?
Bernardett Horvath.

And the most childish?
Eniko Kuttor.

Which of your teammates chooses the music when you're in the team bus?
It has to be Debora Dubei.

What would you cook for your coach if she ate dinner at your house?
I just know how to cook pasta and pudding, so it would be it!

Playing this tournament at home means ...
It's just amazing to have so many people seeing us and rooting for our team. We have to play better, run more. The big crowd makes it very special.
