Hosts Turn On The Style Against Greece

U16 WOMEN

Hungary is back in style, beating Greece, 74-42, in Qualifying Round Group F of the U16 European Championship Women Group.

There was no question about the Hungarian superiority from the first minute, with Agnes Dobos and Debora Dubei scoring 10 points each in the first quarter to grab a 23 point lead on a fantastic 78 per cent shooting percentage.

The Greek team tried their best to get back, but it just was not their day, while the Hungarian team continued to play with high pace to extend their lead to 36 points during the third quarter.

Both coaches opted for bringing in their bench players, with Greece pouring in more points in the last quarter.

Agnes Dobos and Bernardett Horvath finished both with 15 points for Hungary, while Pinelopi Pavlopoulou's 12 points were a team-high for Greece.
