The last match of Group B turned into a heartbreaker, as the Greeks got their first win, 72-58, and booked a place in the U16 European Championship Women Qualifying Round, while ruling out Serbia.

Greece needed a win by at least nine points to advance and the Slovak Republic was watching in the stands, as in case of a Greek win their fate was to be decided as well in a possible three-way tie.

The Greek side saw Serbia dominate during the first quarter, but with Pinelopi Pavlopoulou coming from the bench to shine with 21 points and five assists, the story of the game completely changed.

The Hellenic team reached a 10 points lead during the third quarter and managed to keep it until the last minutes of the game.
