14 July 2012

U16 WOMEN

France secured their third win a row, 77-40, against an English side already thinking about how to escape relegation in the U16 European Championship Women in Miskolc.

The English team entered the court in the University Sports Hall trying to harm France, but Carla Blatrie showed early that she would not let this game slip out of France's hands, helping her team build a 39-points difference.

As France dominated the game, England's squad, who is participating in Division A for the first time in this age category, earned valuable experience.

Shanice Norton shined for England, scoring 13 points.

For the French Blatrie scored 14 points, while Ornella Bankole stood out with seven points and 11 rebounds.

France advance undefeated to the Qualifying Round, while England will face a fierce battle to keep their place in Division A.
