Celine Dumerc - France and Bourges Basket

9. Céline Dumerc (France)

Come the hour, come the hero. With France down by three points with less than two minutes to play in their quarter-final encounter with Sweden, the then 30-year-old Dumerc came to the fore, hitting three threes in a little over a minute-and-a-half to turn the game on its head and confirm her place as one of Europe’s best ever guards. Her performance in Ekaterinburg back in March had been no less impressive, taking Bourges to an unexpected podium finish at the EuroLeague Women Final Eight.
