Emilie Gomis – France and ESB Lille Metropole

It looked unclear before the EuroBasket Women, who was going to be the side-kick of Sandrine Gruda on a balanced France team. Emilie Gomis, who had missed the World Championship in 2010 and large parts of the club season, established herself as the second force, helping to fire a team lacking true shooters to a bronze medal. She also used her athleticism to come up with a fair share of rebounds and made up for the missed World Championship. A great way to come back!
