Maria Stepanova - Russia and UMMC Ekaterinburg

When Maria Stepanova stepped on the court at EuroBasket Women 2011 in Poland it was her 8th consecutive tournament for Russia since she first took the floor in 1997 as a teenager. While other players might relax after winning FIBA Europe Player of the Year honours three times, the dominant center is still chasing success with UMMC Ekaterinburg and the Russian national team. Her outstanding performances made her the 4th leading all-time scorer of EuroBasket Women and if she takes the floor again in 2013 third and even second place in that list will become hers.
