Sandra Mandir – Croatia and Gospic

Sandra Mandir had delivered more than solid performances in the EuroLeague Women but those went somewhat unnoticed due to the losing record of her Gospic team. When Croatia arrived at EuroBasket Women without some key players and lost Ana Lelas after only three games, the 34 year old guard put the team on her shoulders, averaging 14.3 points per game on 46.2% field goal percentage. Her relentless effort was rewarded with a berth at the Olympic Qualifying Tournament and an all-tournament team spot.
