Nevriye Yilmaz – Turkey and Fenerbahce

While Nevriye Yilmaz must have been more than a little frustrated for not making the EuroLeague Women Final Four with Fenerbahce despite outstanding performances, the time for redemption came quickly. At EuroBasket Women the center carried her team all the way into the final before falling to eventual champions Russia. She led Turkey in scoring and rebounding and showed everybody that she is not slowing down, when she played 44 minutes in the overtime triumph over France in the semi-final.
