FIBA Europe Medical Council
|The new Medical Council of FIBA Europe for 2010-2014|
Monday saw the first meeting of the Medical Council, with FIBA Europe President Olafur Rafnsson, Secretary General Nar Zanolin and the President of the Medical Council Dr. Heinz Günter welcoming all members of the Council at the FIBA Europe offices in Munich.
The meeting included presentations from Dr. Nenad Dikic and Dr. Rosario Urena Duran and interesting discussions regarding the future work of the medical experts.
Dr. Günter will lead the members of the Council to deliver a comprehensive programme of projects and research aimed to assist the European national federations and keep the integrity of basketball on the Continent.
" We are proud to be able to assemble such a unique body of experience at the FIBA Europe Medical Council" - stated FIBA Europe President Olafur Rafnsson.
" There are over 7000 athletes participating in our competitions every year and we would like to take care of them" - commented Secretary General Nar Zanolin.
" This group of experts will be pro-active and will assist greatly our national federations in their work with the players and officials" he added.
