The All Star Game participants in 2010

After voting closed for the EuroLeague Women All Star Game 2011 on Jan 31st, FIBA Europe has announced the top vote-getters and thus starters in the game which will feature Europe taking on the Rest of the World and will take place in Gdynia, Poland for the second time in a row on March 8th.

The All Star Game will be broadcast live by Polish TV as well as by EuroLeague Women TV partner Eurosport 2 and thus be visible to fans throughout Europe.

The Top-5 vote-getters in the public vote for the Europe team by position were:

G Celine Dumerc (UMMC Ekaterinburg - FRA)

G Alba Torrens (Halcon Avenida Salamanca - ESP)

F Amaya Valdemoro (Rivas Ecopolis - ESP)

F Sandrine Gruda (UMMC Ekaterinburg -FRA)

C Sancho Lyttle (Salamanca Avenida Salamanca - ESP)

The Top-5 vote-getters for the Rest of the World team by position were:

G Monica Wright (Lotos Gdynia - USA)

G Seimone Augsutus (Galatasaray - USA)

F Angel Mc Coughtry (Fenerbahce - USA)

F Candice Dupree (Good Angels Kosice - USA)

C Sylvia Fowles (Galatasaray - USA)

FIBA Europe will announce the rest of both line-ups, together with the coaches and medical staff within the next week. The participants of the three-point shooting contest, which will take place at half-time of the game, will also be announced then.
