FIBA Europe and the EuroBasket 2011 Local Organising Committee announced on Monday that the sale of tickets for EuroBasket 2011 will start on Thursday 17 March at 10 a.m. EET (9 a.m. CET).
The pricing structure establishes four categories at each venue with prices for the Round 1 Group games ranging from 19.98€ to 60.53€.
Meanwhile, tickets for the Final in Kaunas can be purchased for as little as 54€.
The organisers have also introduced three different bundled ticket packages, at discounted prices.
The Lithuanian Tournament Pass includes all the Lithuanian national team games in the Panevėžys arena plus all the Round 2 (Vilnius) and Final Round (Kaunas) games. The Tournament Pass includes all the Round 1 games at a chosen arena (Klaipėda, or Šiauliai, or Alytus, or Panevėžys) plus all Round 2 and Final Round games, while the Mini Tournament Pass includes all the Round 2 and Final Round games.
Tickets were made available on Monday morning to the EuroBasket Fan Club members and the enthusiastic response of local members meant that tickets for the Lithuania games in Group A in Panevezys are already sold out, while the organisers expect to sell the last Lithuanian Tournament Passes within the next hours.
It is important to note that due to dynamic pricing, single ticket, Tournament Pass and Mini Tournament Pass prices can rise as demand increases.
Tickets will be made available online at www.tiketa.lt.
The complete initial price schedule can be found online at the official EuroBasket 2011 website.
