|Evelien Callens is back in the EuroLeague Women after a long absence|
ZVVZ USK Prague have added the final piece of the jigsaw for the forthcoming EuroLeague Women season with the addition of Belgian forward Evelien Callens, who moves across the capital from VS Prague.
Callens spent a chunk of last season on the sidelines and injury prevented her from participating in EuroCup Women, although she did do enough to impress in the Czech League with 10.5 points and 4.2 rebounds per game.
She has also had a taste of EuroLeague Women action previously, having stepped out for Dexia Namur during the 2005-06 season.
General Manager Marek Kucera confirmed Callens has penned a one year deal and the roster for 2013-14 will be as follows: Michaela Stejskalová, Layshia Clarendon, Laia Palau, Jelena Dubljevič, Ilona Burgrová, Kia Vaughn, Lenka Bartáková, Katerina Elhotova, Milka Bjelica, Evelien Callens, Jana Vesela, Eva Viteckova.
Vesela will miss most of the season due to the ACL injury she sustained playing for the national team at EuroBasket Women in France.
Meanwhile Viteckova skipped EuroBasket Women, but was recently named the best Czech female player for the fourth consecutive season at an awards ceremony by the Czech Basketball Federation.
ZVVZ USK Prague will go up against CCC Polkowice, Galatasaray, Kibirkstits-VICI, Novi Zagreb, Perfumerias Avenida and Sparta&k M.R. Vidnoje.
