Carlo Recalcati's Italy presented one of the country's football stars, Juventus striker Alessandro Del Piero, with a national team shirt and a basketball signed from all the players on Tuesday.

Del Piero, a World Cup winner with Italy in 2006, is a big fan of the basketball.

The personalized shirt was presented to Del Piero at a hotel in Turin, where Italy are facing Bulgaria in a EuroBasket qualifying game on Wednesday.

The team also presented Juventus midfielder Pavel Nedved, a long-time resident of Italy where he has also played for Lazio, with a basketball since his son plays mini-basket.

Both players won't be able to show up and watch the Azzurri take on the Bulgarians, however, as they have a Champions League game on the same night at home against Zenit.
