Turkey have lived to see another day at the Samsung U18 European Championship, defeating Slovenia, 88-85, on Tuesday to keep their quarter-final options open.

Going out to a six-point lead - their biggest of the game - with just over six minutes to play, it appeared Slovenia were on track to pull off their second win in as many nights.

However, Kenan Sipahi had other plans. Having already amassed 24 points, the Turkish point guard added another nine to his tally in the final five-and-a-half minutes, to end the game with a tournament-high 35 points.

Just as important in the last five minutes was Tayfun Erulku who played the perfect supporting role with six points, doubling his tally in the game to 12.

Slovenia's Gregor Hrovat finished with 25 points.

Both Turkey and Slovenia face must-win games on the final day of the Second Round and neither has the luxury of holding their destiny entirely in their own hands, as they also depend on the rest of the results in the group.
