Lithuania claimed top seeding from Group E for the Quarter-Finals, following their 72-65 win over Spain at the Samsung U18 European Championship on Wednesday night.
Assisted by the backing of a partisan crowd, the hosts were able to stay in front throughout the second half to complete the first two rounds of the competition with their perfect winning record intact.
Arunas Visockas' team were benefiting from some big performances from their bench players, who collectively provided 24 of their team's 50 points over the course of the first three quarters to have Lithuania in front by six going into the final frame.
There was no coming back for the Spaniards over the final 10 minutes as Lithuania remained composed, penetrating inside the pain regularly to assure the lead never came under threat.
Five Lithuanians finished in double figures with the biggest contribution coming from Augustinas Jankaitis with 14 points, six of which came in the final frame.
Jokubas Gintvainis and Lukas Lekavicius were a point back with 13; Rokas Gustys had 11 whilst Justas Tamulis chipped in with 10.
Oriol Pauli and Sebastian Saiz both finished with 12 points for Spain.
