|Jiri Soula and the Czech Republic will carry momentum into the Second Round on Monday following Saturday's win|
The Czech Republic overcame a third quarter five-point deficit to defeat Bosnia and Herzegovina at the U18 European Championship on Saturday night to lock up second place in Group B.
Bosnia and Herzegovina came within two points in the final minute, but a back-breaking three-point dagger from Radovan Kouril with 16 seconds left capped off a 19-7 Czech Republic fourth-quarter run.
Evenly matched for the entire game, Bosnia and Herzegovina owned the biggest lead of the contest - a brief seven-point buffer late in the third term - but a couple of quick three-point baskets from Adam Pechacek to start the fourth quarter swung momentum in the Czech Republic's favour.
Baskets to Kouril (14 points, four assists) and dynamic guard Jiri Soula (10 points) closed out the win.
13 points to Bojan Lulic and 11 points and 12 rebounds from Davor Karamatic led Bosnia and Herzegovina.
