FIBA Europe To Hold Seminar For National Federations In Cyprus

31 March 2008

FIBA Europe will hold it's first-ever seminar for national federations, in Limassol, Cyprus, on Saturday, 19th April 2008.

The seminar, which will take place as a sidebar to the EuroCup Final Four, will be attended by most of FIBA Europe's member federations.

The event's programme includes lecturers and speakers from within the sport of basketball but also other sports, like football.

The National Federation of Sweden will present participants with their experience in long term strategic planning while the National Federation of Spain will make a presentation on vision and strategy.

Mr. Ceri Stennett, a press officer with the Welsh Football Association and UEFA's HatTrick Education programme specialist will brief delegates on football's approach to marketing and education.

FIBA Europe's Technical and Communications departments will talk to delegates about sharing knowledge and good practices.

All participants will be provided with the opportunity to express their opinion about the seminar and make recommendations for future events by completing a feedback form which will be included in their delegate pack.

"This is a great opportunity to share knowledge within the sport. It is extremely important to engage the National Federations in a dialogue and ensure that FIBA Europe responds to the actual needs of its members," said FIBA Europe Secretary General Nar Zanolin.

More guest speakers and the seminar's full programme details will be announced next week.
