The party is still underway for Basket Lattes Montpellier Agglomeration after they wrapped up a historic maiden French Championship.
On the most memorable day in the club's history, the team clinched a 50-44 success against defending champions Tango Bourges to take a 2-1 series victory and etch their name onto the coveted silverware for the first time.
The visitors exploded late in the game to seal the deal after both teams had been locked up during an edgy first twenty minutes, although BLMA did have to survive a late onslaught from the hosts.
Opening up a double-figure lead and stretching it out to as many as 16 points, it looked like BLMA would romp to a convincing success, but they had to withstand a late salvage mission from Bourges who were seeking to draw level with Clermont with 13 titles.
Bourges clawed their way back and even had a chance to level matters during crunch time via an attempt from Johannah Leedham, but it wasn't to be and Skrela did the business from the free-throw line to make the game safe.
It was defence which proved to be the key for BLMA, as they blunted the Bourges offence to ensure only Paoline Salagnac made it into double-digits with 12 points.
The victory was also sweet for FIBA Europe Women's Ambassador, Edwige Lawson-Wade who concluded her first season at the helm as BLMA General Manager in style.
